Cy-Fair dance studio takes honors in competition

The Dance Factory recently represented Texas at the Kids Artistic Revue National Dance Competition in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The team won the National Champion Title, as well as other top honors. Tara Carpenter, the Dance Factory’s company director, won the National Dance Teacher of the Year Award. The team also won the Top Studio Award for its division for the second year in a row at the Houston regional competition.

Fifty dancers and three instructors, as well as their families, attended the competition. It was a week-long event with dancers from all over the nation competing.
