Man charged in 2008 sexual assault in Cypress

Harris County investigators say a DNA match has led them to a suspect in the 2008 sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl near Cypress Springs High School.

Alonzo Havies, 18, is charged with sexual assault of a child. He is currently serving time in prison on a sentence for burglary of a habitation, according to a press release from the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators think there was one other attacker involved, and that the two may have sexually assaulted other people, the release says.
