Cy-Fair landlord sued over alleged dog attack
A Harris County man is suing a Cy-Fair landlord after he was allegedly attacked by her tenant's dogs.
Manuel DeJesus filed a lawsuit July 5 in Harris County District Court against Vivian B. Lee.
According to the petition, Lee owns a rental house on Bayleaf Drive. DeJesus says he was working at the house in April when he was allegedly attacked by the renter's two dogs. The man says the dogs bit him, causing serious injuries.
DeJesus claims the dogs have attacked other people in the past. He accuses Lee of negligence for failing to make her tenant control or confine what he considers to be dangerous animals. DeJesus is asking for more than $500,000 in damages for medical bills and court costs.
Attorney Brian D. Womac, of Houston, is representing DeJesus.
