CFISD needs bus buddies
Bus Buddies is a partnership between the Cy-Fair community and Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District in which volunteers help elementary pupils get off the bus at the correct stops.
The program requires one "Bus Buddy" per elementary bus the first three days of school. The approximate time commitment is from 2:45–4:45 p.m. on Aug. 22-24.
Volunteers must attend training, if not previously trained. They will be assigned a campus where staff will assist them.
Training will be at the Berry Center, 8877 Barker Cypress Road, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Aug. 15; 6:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 16 and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Aug. 18.
Volunteers can RSVP for training by selecting "Bus Buddies" at www.cfisd.net.
Call 281-894-3949 for more information about the program.
