Houston Family Arts Center announces summer schedule
Houston Family Arts Center has performances and auditions for the next two months.
July 20-23: The center will be performing “Comic Book Artists.” The play follows Stanely Leonardo Sappovitz, who wants nothing but to be a comic book artist, as he discovers magic pens that bring his characters to life.
Aug. 10-13: “Annie Jr.” will be performed at the center. “Annie Jr.” is the story of an orphan who dreams of finding her parents.
Aug. 18-20: “Anything Goes” a musical that follows the trip of a group of ocean liner passengers.
July 22-Aug 6: The Center will put on an American classic: “Oklahoma.”
July 23: Audition for “Death by Design” will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anyone wanting to audition for this murder mystery can make an appointment by emailing audition@houstonfac.com. Auditions will be one-minute comedic monologues and cold reading from a script.
Aug. 14: Auditions will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” A comedic monologue and cold reading will be part of the auditions. To make an appointment email audition@houstonfac.com with contact information and desired role.
