Cy-Fair business accuses Spring construction company of wrongfully taking La Porte property
A business in Cy-Fair is suing after, it says, the property it owns in LaPorte was wrongfully transferred to a Spring-area construction company.
Corpex Inc., of Cy-Fair, filed a lawsuit on July 14 in the Harris County District Court against Gurbir Cheema and Castle Development & Construction Company Inc., of Spring, citing conversion and fraud.
The suit alleges that the property Corpex owns in La Porte was transferred, without its permission, to Castle Development & Construction Company, and then to Cheema.
Corpex says that it has not received any benefit from these transfers, even though it is the true owner of the property.
Corpex is seeking to have the property transferred back to the company, damages, attorney’s fees, and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Sugar Land attorney Altaf Adam.
