Cy Falls HS wide receiver catches scouts eyes at 7-on-7 tournament in College Station
Superprep.com, Scout.com and FOX Sports were on the scene for the FSSW State 7-on-7 tournament in College Station recently.
Cy Falls High School wide receiver Gratian Gladney caught the eye of many of those in attendance.
Below is the breakdown of Gladney from the experts on hand:
At the end of the day, it is too early to say whether or not these to squads will have a successful campaign in 2011. But one thing is for certain, they are loaded with offensive skilled players. For Cy Falls, quarterback Troy Mitchell has an awesome option in wide receiver Gratian Gladney.
Basically, add some solid guys in the trenches and a decent-to-good defense, and these guys could be dancing a while in the postseason.
He is one of many top targets for the squad when the ball is put in the air. With that, the 5-foot-9, 175-pound receiver has had a number of schools show interest.
Yet none have offered up to this point.
“Close. All of the coaches I have talked to say that they are close to offering me,” Gladney said. “Baylor, Wyoming and La Tech."Texas Tech, Boise State, TCU, SMU and others have shown interest in Gladney.
For many years, the Cy Falls football program has produced some good football players over the years. Especially at the wide receiver position, and wide receiver Gratian Gladney is a player to watch in the 2012 class.
