Superprep.com, Scout.com and FOX Sports were on the scene for the FSSW State 7-on-7 tournament in College Station recently.

Cy Falls High School wide receiver Jacorey Warrick caught the attention of the observers in attendance; below is a breakdown of his skills from Scout.com:

At the end of the day, it is too early to say whether or not these to squads will have a successful campaign in 2011. But one thing is for certain, they are loaded with offensive skilled players. For Cy Falls, quarterback Troy Mitchell has an awesome option in wide receiver Jacorey Warrick.

Basically, add some solid guys in the trenches and a decent-to-good defense, and these guys could be dancing a while in the postseason.

Warrick has been on the radar since February, says Scout.com:

On a Saturday afternoon back in February that featured hundreds of players from the Greater Houston area and beyond for the Schuman National Underclassman Combine at Fort Bend Baptist Academy, the upcoming juniors were out flying around making plays. Here is an offensive player worthy of mention:

WR Jacorey Warrick (5-9, 158)

There was a short list of receivers who wowed, but Warrick was clearly at the top of his game. His receiver coach raved about how “smooth” he was in his route running. In addition, coming off the line, Warrick was quick and did not let the defensive backs get a clean pop on him in the jam. He caught the ball well and did not have a lot of wasted motion in his routes. Look for Warrick to continue to dominate.

Texas, Baylor, Texas A&M and others have shown interest in Warrick.
