Cy-Fair boy, 13, acing AP calculus
Garveen Singh Sindhu of Banff School has recently scored a ‘5,’ the highest score available, on his AP Calculus BC exam.
Garveen has already taken the SATs and scored 1840, and received a perfect score on the math subject test.
This success did not come easily, however. Although he is gifted, he also deals daily with ADHA, dysgraphia and visual processing, which have made learning a challenge for Garveen, especially when he was younger.
Garveen will be entering grade 10 in the next school year, but he has already completed all of the math course work available in high school. As such, he will be enrolled part time in community college, where he will study higher-level math. He has also taken several other classes above his grade level, such as government and economics.
