Breast cancer fundraiser to be held in Cypress

Merche, North Cypress Medical Center and Sunny 99.1 are teaming up to host the Team Rose Marketplace at Merche Restaurant to raise money for breast cancer research.

Featuring an afternoon of hors d’oeuvres, complimentary drinks, raffles and shopping at specialty gift booths set up by local vendors including Pampered Chef, Flameless Candles, Kountry Kouture, and The Bling and Bow Lady, the event takes place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 13.

Attendees can also join the "Team Rose" Race for the Cure team and sign up onsite. Custom “2011 Team Rose” Race for the Cure shirts will be available to order, with the option of inscribing them with the names of loved ones who have battled breast cancer. 

Merche Restaurant is located at the corner of Highway 290 and Huffmeister.
