Lone Star College hosting Lifelong Learning open houses
The Lone Star College (LSC) system will host open houses at each location beginning Thursday, Aug. 4, for its Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL) fall programs.
ALL is a membership community that offers free and low-cost short-term classes, events and activities for active adults age 50 and older. Participants are able to explore a wide variety of special interest, professional growth and development, and personal enrichment courses, which are taught mostly by professionals from the community, are non-credit and last anywhere from a few hours to several weeks.

Course selections will include arts and crafts, gardening skills, photography techniques, financial planning, health care issues, finance, health and wellness, technology, test prep, genealogy, Tai Chi, hiking adventures, community service projects, business, literary discussion groups, customized training, seminars and workshops, an insider's view of Texas history and more.
A small annual membership fee that varies by college allows members to register for ALL classes at their local LSC campus. Some classes may require nominal event, supply or entrance fees.
