North Cypress Medical Center to hold Project Pink event
North Cypress Medical Center will hold its fifth annual Project Pink event for breast cancer awareness from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 15 in the hospital lobby.
The event benefits the Houston affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and will be emceed by Dana Tyson of Sunny 99.1.
Dr. Kim Keller, a breast surgeon, and Laura Todd, a breast cancer survivor, will speak at the event and address recent developments in breast cancer research and treatment.
There will also be a silent auction, live auction and fashion show, with a variety of packages and items for both auctions donated by local hotels, boutiques, wineries, restaurants and other specialty stores.
Attendees will be treated to lunch, provided by the Merche restaurant, as well as gift bags.
Tickets for Project Pink go on sale in early September and cost $65 each. Tables that seat 10 can be reserved for $600. VIP attendees can reserve VIP tables seating 10 for $750.
North Cypress has donated more than $150,000 to the Houston Komen Affiliate due to its yearly Project Pink events. The Houston Komen Affiliate bestowed the hospital with the Hope Award for Ambassadorship and the Impact Award for Community Partnership in recognition of its efforts.
