Where are the lowest gas prices in Cy-Fair this week?

The average price of gasoline in the area did not decrease as fast as the state and metropolitan averages, data from gasbuddy.com show.

Gasbuddy.com users have submitted the rates at 30 stations in and around Cypress, as of Aug. 11. Together, the average of these rates was $3.506 per gallon. The average gasoline price in Cypress was higher by a few cents when compared to the Texas ($3.509) and Houston ($3.484), though about 12 cents lower than the national average ($3.623).

About a week ago, the average gasoline price in Cypress was $3.568 per gallon.

The cheapest gasoline station was reported to be Valero at 19940 Freeman Road and Haven Creek Drive, which was said to have sold regular unleaded gasoline at $3.37 per gallon.

The highest reported rate in the area was charged at around $3.69 per gallon. Users have identified Shell at 15038 Mason Road and Fairfield Village Drive to be offering at this price. For its 13th week, this Shell station has been charging the most expensive rate for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline.
