Advocacy training for parents of special education students offered
The Village Learning & Achievement Center will offer a child advocacy course for special education students on Saturday, Aug. 20.
The “Toolbox Way” with the Special Ed Marine teaches specific techniques of advocacy using IDEA and state regulations. The cost is $30, and materials will be provided.
The course will be taught from 9 a.m. until noon at Lighthouse Learning & Resource, 10928 Grant Road.
