New Orleans Famous Chicken and Waffles chain to kick off with Cy-Fair location
New Orleans Famous Chicken and Waffles is opening its first location on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 17375 Tomball Parkway.
The new restaurant will feature a plethora of New Orleans-inspired dishes. In addition to the eponymous chicken and waffles, the eatery will serve fish and grits, shrimp and biscuits, seafood gumbo, boiled crawfish, jambalaya, po-boys and a "Who Dat Burger."
On Friday, Sept. 2, reviewers will be allowed to taste what New Orleans Famous Chicken and Waffles has to offer.
It will open to the public on Saturday, Sept. 3, with a kids fair from 7 a.m. to noon. At 4 p.m., two New Orleans line brass bands will perform. Oveous, a New York City rapper and poet, will help kick off the grand opening of the first location. A portion of the proceeds from opening day will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
