Multiple fire departments fight grass fire in west Houston
Firefighters have controlled an approximately 500-acre grass fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon near Addick's Reservoir north of I-10.
The Houston Fire Department was dispatched to the fire at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, and fire departments from Katy, Cy-Fair and Aldine have joined the effort, along with the Army Corps of Engineers.
The fire did not endanger any buildings.
