HS Football: Cy Ridge defeats Langham Creek
Cy Ridge defeated Langham Creek in thrilling high school football action Thursday.
Cy Ridge, 1-1, won the game 35-34 on a touchdown pass from Jeff Nabors to Rodney Brooks with no time left on the clock in the fourth quarter at the Berry Center. In the back and forth nail-biter, the Lobos led 14-0 after the first quarter. The score was 21-16 Lobos at halftime. After three quarters of play, the Rams led 29-27. Cy Ridge Running back Renderick Childs carried the ball 23 times for 217 yards and two scores in the win. Wide receiver James Burch caught five passes for 93 yards and a score in the victory. The Rams will host Cy Springs next Saturday at 6 p.m. in Pridgeon Stadium. Langham Creek wide receiver Caleb Hobbs caught seven passes for 162 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Lobos running back Dylan Humphrey rushed for 104 yards and three scores in the loss. Langham Creek, 1-1, will host Jersey Village Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Berry Center.Related Stories
