HS Football: Langham Creek defeats Jersey Village
Langham Creek beat Jersey Village in thrilling high school football action Thursday.
The Lobos, 2-1, won the game 65-58. Dylan Humphrey scored on an 18-yard touchdown run with 45 seconds left in the game to cap the comeback victory. Langham Creek outscored Jersey Village 31-7 in the fourth quarter on a crazy night at the Berry Center. The Falcons were in charge, it appeared, 44-21, at halftime. The game featured 1,208 yards of combined total offense. A breakdown of that stat sheds light on the balance of firepower. The Lobos passed for 304 yards, the Falcons passed for 391 yards. Jersey Village rushed for 246 yards, while Langham Creek rushed for 267. The teams combined for 51 first downs, yet only five penalties. Thursday’s loss dropped the Falcons to 0-2 on the season.
