HS Volleyball: Katy defeats Morton Ranch

Katy defeated Morton Ranch in District 19-5A girls high school volleyball action on Friday. 

The win ups the Tigers to 13-12 on the season and 2-0 in district play. Katy won the match in four games, 25-15, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20, led by Keeley Kainer who recorded 16 kills.   Katy will next host Mayde Creek on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.   The loss drops the Mavericks to 5-12 on the season and 0-3 in district play. Morton Ranch will next visit Seven Lakes on Friday at 5:30 p.m.   Jalesa Beaver had 13 kills in the loss.
