Lone Star's Cy-Fair campus announces 'LIFE' courses for October
Lone Star College-CyFair will offer free Learning, Inspiration, Fellowship, and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs in October.
All programs are free and held on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the library in Room 131, unless otherwise noted.
On Oct. 5, “The Think Factory” will be a discussion of philosophical issues with Professor Mark Thorsby. Later, join “The Think Factory” at 4 p.m. in ART 102 for more discussion.
On Oct. 12, “Atomic Alchemy or Nanotechnology” reveals a glimpse into the future of nanotechnology and how it will transform our world. Dr. Daniel Kainer of LSC-Montgomery will conduct the program.
On Oct. 19, Huyen Doan and Jill Vu will concoct a Vietnamese dish with steamed rice and vegetables in the “Lemongrass Chicken” program.
And on Oct. 26, Katherine Ashby of Feng Shui Houston will teach the proactive Chinese energy steps to positively influence prosperity and confidence in “Feng Shui” program.
