Santas, Scouts aid Bastrop wildfire victims
The Lone Star Santas will visit children affected by the recent wildfires on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Mira Elementary School.
For the “Convoy of Toys,” the Santas and Cypress Boy Scout Troup #901 sorted, bagged and loaded toys donated by area churches and people from all over Texas. The P.A.L.S. group of Bastrop High School students will act as elves and help unload.
Families may come to the school and be met by an elf in red, who will escort each child to the toys for them to choose from.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mira Elementary School is located at 1203 Hill St. in Bastrop.
The Lone Star Santas is a nonprofit organization of Texas professional Santas.
