Clear Brook and Cy Springs HS grads square off as No. 26 takes down Baylor
Clear Brook and Cy Springs high school graduates went head-to-head as Baylor dropped its Big 12 opener 3-1 (22-25, 26-24, 24-26, 18-25) to No. 25 Oklahoma on Wednesday at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.
Clear Brook High School graduate Suzy Boulavsky had 33 kills in the win for Oklahoma. Boulavasky played for Clear Brook from 2004-07, earning All-State and All-District honors as a senior. She also played for the Texas Tornadoes club team from 2004-06 and AVA 18 Asics in 2007. The pre-journalism major ranked first in her graduating class at CBHS. Boulavasky is the daughter of Michael and Jacqui Boulavsky of Bay Knoll in Houston's Clear Lake neighborhood. Cy Springs high school graduate Briana Tolbert had nine kills in the loss for Baylor. Tolbert played at Cy Springs High School for head coach Ashley Hardin. She was rated as the No. 62 recruit from the class of 2008 according to prepvolleyball.com. Tolbert was also ranked as the No. 19 middle blocker in the nation and the fifth-best middle blocker in Texas. Briana Lynette Tolbert was born Nov. 6, 1990. in Houston. She is the daughter of Lorenzo and Deuanna Tolbert, and Rita Ravenell. Tolbert is majoring in Speech Communications.
