Cy Springs HS grad Greg Watkins paces UTEP defense
Cy Springs high school graduate Greg Watkins had five solo tackles and assisted on two others, but UTEP lost to USF 52-24 Saturday.
Watkins was rated an area top-100 player by the Houston Chronicle. He was an All-District defensive end as a senior at Cypress Springs High School. In three years as a starter, he posted 122 tackles, 11 tackles for losses, three sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, four pass break-ups and five blocked kicks. Gregory Watkins, Jr. is the son of Gregory, Sr. and Alana Watkins. He was born 1/13/89 and is a Business major.Related Stories
