Cy-Fair artist to display work at Galleria's Zen Art Space
ZEN Art Space will present the “Monkey Men in Tin Town” exhibit on Saturday, Oct. 1.
The one-man show of local artist Jimmy Houston will display never-before-seen visions from the land of future past. According to the gallery, Houston tells stories through his paintings that evoke satire, imagination and a collective nostalgia.
Houston was selected finalist in the 2009 Hunting Art Prize. Two of his works were chosen for the 2011 Lawndale Art Center's Big Show. His paintings have recently been exhibited at Elder Street Gallery, Heights Studios and Gallery, War’Hous Visual Studios, Watson Gallery and the 2010 Houston Art Crawl. His works are also displayed daily at ZEN Art Space in the Houston Galleria.
The exhibit will go from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the ZEN Art Space is located in Houston Galleria #3 Mall, 5175 Westheimer Road, Suite 3440, on the second floor between Saks 5th Avenue and Macys.
