Football: Bobcats rely on defense
After being stuffed by Cy-Fair's defense on first and second downs, Cy Creek decided on an option pitch, but defensive backs Ryan Bradshaw and Trevor Mendez stopped Dylan Pugliese at the 1 to force fourth down. Cy Creek tried the middle, but standout running back Devan Demas was grabbed by Cy-Fair freshman lineman Ross Donely, who was just brought up to the varsity, and several other defenders and the Bobcats took over on downs. Offensively, senior running back John Jacob (467 yards and eight touchdowns on 83 rushes), junior quarterback Logan Taylor (24-of-49 for 322 yards with three touchdowns and one interception), and senior wide out Kaleb Moore (five receptions for 107 yards and two touchdowns) give Cy-Fair opponents plenty to worry about.
