Council approves salary increase for city manager
Jersey Village City Manager Mike Castro will receive an increase in his salary and car allowance in the next budget year after City Council's recent vote to award him a 4 percent raise. City Council voted Sept. 19 to increase the village's golf course fund by $71,000 to account for more water usage. The city also spent $12,000 after air conditioning units at the city office and the police and fire stations showed wear-and-tear from heavy usage during the summer heat.
