Temp agency sued over fatal workplace accident in Cy-Fair
Family members are suing a temp agency after a loved one was killed on the job in Cy-Fair.
Hernan Cely and Libia Lara, on behalf of the estate of the deceased Camilo Cely, filed a wrongful death suit on Oct. 3 in the Harris County District Court against Certified Solutions.
Cely’s estate says that on Nov. 21, 2009, Cely was killed while working on a construction project at Methodist Hospital Willowbrook in Cy-Fair as a temporary employee for Certified Solutions. According to the brief, Cely fell to his death when he climbed a ladder to install wiring in a third-floor patient room.
The estate is seeking compensatory and exemplary damages, as well as court costs. It is being represented in the case by Sugar Land attorney Carlos Leon.
