Lone Star's Cy-Fair campus to hold Sustainability Day
Lone Star's Cy-Fair campus will host a Campus Sustainability Day beginning at 7 a.m. on Oct. 25 in the Center for Academic and Student Affairs (Room 110), located at 9191 Barker Cypress Road.
College faculty from disciplines such as biology, geology, kinesiology, math, philosophy and environmental science will, along with staff and student club members, present activities and presentations, including bird watching, a morning health walk and an afternoon tree walk.
Two additional events will also be held: a talk on the ethics of ecology from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 26 and an Adopt-A-Highway cleanup, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Oct. 28 (volunteers will meet at the tennis court parking lot).
