Cypress Food Town named in slip-and-fall suit
A Cypress-area Food Town is being sued over claims a customer sustained serious injuries while shopping in the store.
Jose Nieves filed a lawsuit on Oct. 17 in the Harris County District Court against Gerland Corp., citing negligence.
Nieves says that on Sept. 26, 2008, he sustained serious injuries while shopping at Food Town, located at 13811 Cypress North. According to the brief, he slipped and fell in liquid that had pooled on the floor.
Nieves is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by San Antonio attorney Andrew Toscano.
