Spay Neuter Assistance Program announces November stops

The Spay Neuter Assistance Program will offer free spaying, neutering and other pet services from Nov. 2 through Nov. 30 for animals owned by qualifying low-income dog and cat owners.

Rabies vaccinations will be available for dogs and cats that are neutered at each clinic.

Services are being offered on the following dates:

Nov. 2 at Wal-Mart, located at 13750 I-10 East and Freeport

Nov. 3 at the Bayland Learning Center, located at 6400 Bissonnet and Hillcroft

Nov. 4 at Petco, located at 7067 FM1960-77346

Nov. 7 at the Harris County Courthouse, located at 14350 Wallisville

Nov. 8 at Sears at the Westwood Mall, located at 9570 SW Freeway and Bissonnet

Nov. 9 at CVS Pharmacy, located at 6161 Telephone near Belfort

Nov. 10 at Food Fair, located at 6470 W. Little York and Bingle

Nov. 11 at Petco, located at 210 E. FM 1960 and Highway 59

Nov. 14 at Harris County Vet Pub Health, located at 612 Canino

Nov. 16 at San Jac/Highlands, located at 604 Highland Woods/Highlands

Nov. 17 at Magnolia Multi Service Center, located at 7037 Capitol

Nov. 22 at PetSmart, located at 104 FM 1960

Nov. 23 at Office Depot, located at 10724 Eastex

Nov. 29 at West End Multi Service Center, located at 170 Heights Blvd.

Nov. 30 at DenverHarbor MSC, located at 6402 Market

This free service is offered to pets whose owners qualify for food stamps, TANF, Medicaid, Harris County Hospital District Gold Card, SSI/SSD, free school lunches, Major VA Disability or Section 8 Housing.

The SNAP advance team arrives on site at 6:30 a.m. Arrival at about 6 a.m. is recommended. The SNAP team will conduct a lottery to determine your place in line. The mobile clinic arrives at around 8 a.m. All dogs and cats must be restrained by lease or carrier. Dogs and cats should not have food after 10 p.m. the night before surgery.
