Dancescape, A Concert Showcasing the Talents of Students and Instructors Alike from Fred Astaire Hou

Dancescape, a showcase of the talents of Fred Astaire Houston’s students, will be performed on Saturday, November 5th at 6 PM. Tickets are $25 at the door. The audience will enjoy watching as the students dance across the stage, performing Latin and Ballroom choreographed dances and showing off the skills they have worked so hard to master. It will be a fun and lively event, with great music, superb performances and lively and eye-catching costumes that will make the dance genres that much more authentic. At the end of the show, the students will cede the stage to the professionals and an already wondrous experience will become even grander.

The students enjoy their classes and dance, which will show in their performances and will sweep the audience into the show. “I first came to the studio basically to get out of the house. I figured I would come in once a week, maybe eventually meet some people – that’s about all I expected. I ended up getting way more than that. I can honestly say that I am doing things now that I never thought I would do. I am entering dance competitions, I have been in a show, done public performances – and I’ve had a blast doing it,” said Marie Garadia, a patron of Fred Astaire’s for the past four years.
