Willowbrook Mall to host Santa, holiday events

Visits with Santa are free, photo packages start at $23.

Willowbrook Mall will kick off the holiday season with a Santa Welcome Breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 12 at the mall, located at FM 1960 and Texas 249 in Houston.

Guests can head to the food court, where children can meet Mrs. Claus and elves. There will be face paintings, balloon animals and holiday-themed activities and craft stations. Santa will arrive singing a holiday song and ready to lead everyone in a Santa Sing-A-Long.

At 10 a.m., elves will give young guests a holiday kazoo so that they can line up behind Santa for a parade through the shopping center to the Holiday Wonderland near JCPenney. There is no charge for the breakfast, and reservations are not needed.

Santa will be at the Holiday Wonderland every day through Dec. 24. Children can stop by and visit and have their picture taken. The mall will host Pet Nights where cats and dogs on leashes or in carriers can pose with Santa on Nov. 28, Dec. 5 and Dec. 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Story Time with Mrs. Claus and friends will be held Nov. 19, Nov. 26, Dec. 3, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 from noon to 3 p.m. during Santa's breaks. Saturdays and Sundays in December will feature carolers, a brass trio and a harpist playing holiday music.
