Galveston Ball and Cy Falls alums meet in college FB battle
Galveston Ball graduate Richard Sincere helped Sam Houston State University to a 36-14 victory over Texas State University-San Marcos in men's college football action on Saturday.
Sincere rushed for 55 yards and registered 28 yards in the air in the victory.
In high school, Sincere was the starting quarterback for coach Ron Holmes' option attack, rolling up 1,206 yards total offense his senior season in 2008.
On the opposite side of the ball, Cy Falls High School graduate Darius Bolden rushed for 20 yards and a touchdown for Texas State University-San Marcos.
At Cy Falls High School, Bolden was named an All-District 17-5A First-Team, All-Greater Houston First-Team and an All-State 5-A Second-Team selection by THSCA.
The senior is majoring in industrial engineering.
