North Cypress Medical Center breast cancer event raises $41K
North Cypress Medical Center's “Project Pink” recently raised $41,000 to donate to the Houston Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
During the annual event, attendees learned about the latest in breast cancer research and treatment from speakers Dr. Kim Keller, a general surgeon specializing in breast surgery; Dr. Bob Basu, who specializes in plastic surgeon/breast reconstruction; and cancer survivor Laura Todd.
Attendees were also given the opportunity to take part in a live auction and preview holiday and fall fashions during the style show from White House/Black Market of Champions, Jos. A. Bank of Champions, Shannie Girl, Heather's Closet Boutique, Hemline of Rice Village, Merle Norman & More and Scruples.
Over the past five years, North Cypress Medical Center has donated more than $190,000 raised from “Project Pink” to the Houston Komen Affiliate.
