Lone Star Corporate College to hold international business seminar

Lone Star Corporate College will present the seminar “International Corporate Compliance Issues” on Thursday, Dec. 1, at Lone Star College-University Park.

The seminar is intended for attorneys and certified public accountants. Attendees will learn about the latest developments related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, including how to maintain compliance with the act.

Multiple presentations will take place throughout the seminar, including “Overview of the Law,” “Export Issues and Africa,” “Taxes & Real Life Consequences,” “Compliance Solutions” and “The Shale Gas Boom in the U.S. and Its Relation to International Trade.”

The cost of the seminar is $199 and includes breakfast and lunch. Attendees will also receive five hours of professional continuing education credit.

The seminar will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and LSC-University Park is located at 20515 State Hwy. 249 in Houston.
