Cypress Creek alum can't end Southwestern losing streak
Daniel Mataya, a 2010 graduate of Cy Creek, scored five points but watched as Southwestern fell to Randolph-Macon College 94-65 in men's college hoops action on Friday.
Mataya also had two assists and a steal in the loss.
The Pirates fell to 0-6 and will next visit Colorado College on Dec. 2.
As a freshman for Southwestern, Mataya started four of the 21 contests he appeared in, averaging 13.1 minutes and 2.7 points per game.
He is the son of Tony and Janie Mataya.
