Cypress, Memorial Sysco employee accused of client poaching
A Spring food supplier is suing its former employee, of Clear Lake, over claims she violated her employment agreement by poaching clients for a competitor with offices in Memorial and Cypress.
Glazier Foods Co., of Spring, filed a lawsuit on Nov. 18 in Harris County District Court against Patricia Bussman, of Clear Lake, citing breach of contract.
Glazier, a wholesale food supplier, says one of its former trainers and sales employees, Bussman, breached the terms of her employment contract when she accepted employment with Sysco, a competitor with offices in Cypress and Memorial.
According to the brief, Bussman violated the agreement by soliciting current Glazier clients, Celeya Mexican Restaurant and Wild Geese Tavern.
Glazier is seeking injunctive relief, damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney William Helfand.
