HS boys basketball: Cy Springs defeats Lamar
Cy Springs overpowered Lamar 56-36 in boys high school basketball action on Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Cypress Hoops Invitational.
The win ups Cy Springs to 5-5 on the season.
Japhet Sophus scored 13 points to lead his team to the victory.
Cy Springs will next host Jersey Village on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
The loss drops Lamar to 2-5 on the season.
Andre Semien put up 19 points in the loss.
Lamar will next visit Bellaire on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m.
