Cy-Fair ISD volunteers announce January events
Cy-Fair school district volunteers will offer a variety of events in January.
VIPS, or volunteers in public schools, invites the community to learn more about its work by attending the Jan. 12 general meeting scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Berry Center.
The organization will also offer its Junior Achievement Volunteer training from 9:30 a.m. until noon on Jan. 24, at the Berry Center. This training readies students for the work place.
Those interested in mentoring students can attend PIE Student Mentor Training from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 26, at the Berry Center. An application and criminal background check are required for anyone who takes this class.
The community is also invited to join Sooper Puppy Training from 9:30 a.m. until noon on Jan. 31 at the Berry Center. This class offers first graders age appropriate solutions to problems children face today.
