Cy-Fair residents blamed for alleged pit bull attack
A Harris County woman is suing Cy-Fair residents after, she says, their pit bull dog viciously attacked her.
Vera Lowery filed a lawsuit on Dec. 13 in the Harris County District Court against Juan Vargas, J & D Auto Sales, Pedro Medena, and Cy-Fair resident Sidhu Balwinder Singh and Kaur Kiranjit, citing negligence and negligence per se.
Lowery says on Feb. 15, she sustained serious injuries when a pit pull dog, owned by the defendants, attacked her and dragged her into the street, as she walked past J & D Auto Sales at 2326 Aldine. According to the brief, the County eventually destroyed the dog because of the incident.
Lowery is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Kerry Guidry.
