Lone Star College-CyFair to require orientation for first-time students

All orientation sessions will be held at the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress.

New students can now pre-register for the free New Student Orientation at Lone Star College-CyFair.

All first-time-in-college students are now required to attend a New Student Orientation in order to register for classes.

During orientation, students will meet student leaders, faculty and staff, get trained on the “MyLoneStar” system, learn their way around campus and find out about all the student services and academic programs available. Students will also have a chance to receive academic advising and to register for spring classes.

Orientations will be offered on various days from Thursday, Jan. 5, through Friday, Jan. 13. All sessions are free, but space is limited and students must pre-register at LoneStar.edu/cyfair-orientation to receive a confirmation with a room location and other program information.
