A woman is suing Walmart after, she says, the company failed to offer customers a safe shopping environment at its Cy-Fair location.

Pamela Shapiro filed a lawsuit on Dec. 19 in Harris County District Court against Walmart Stores, citing negligence.

Shapiro says on Aug. 11, she sustained injuries while shopping at Walmart, located at 13484 Northwest Freeway in Cy-Fair. According to the brief, she tripped and fell over plastic parts from a piece of shelving left in an aisle.

Shapiro is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Garland attorney Branden Lavery.
