Cy-Fair company accuses former VP of client poaching
A freight services company in Cy-Fair is suing its former vice president over claims he misappropriated trade secrets to poach clients.
Hydra Logistics, of Cy-Fair, filed a lawsuit on Dec. 22 in the Harris County District Court against Bertling Logistics, James Swann, and Tiffni Clement, citing breach of employment agreement, misappropriation of trade secrets, civil conspiracy, and tortious interference with contractual relationships.
Hydra says on Oct. 15, its vice president, Swann, left the company to work for a competitor, Bertling Logistics. According to the brief, Swann breached his separation agreement with Hydra by using confidential and proprietary information to solicit Hydra’s customers for Bertling.
Hydra Logistics is seeking injunctive relief, damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Dallas attorney Dalton D. Harris III.
