HS boys basketball: Kingwood defeats Cy Springs
Kingwood defeated Cy Springs 70-51 in boys high school basketball action on Wednesday at the Kingwood Insperity Holiday Classic.
The win ups Kingwood to 9-12 on the season.
Kyle Phillips scored 13 points in the win.
Kingwood will next visit Woodlands College Park at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.
The loss drops Cy Springs to 8-9 on the season.
Richard Benedyth netted 26 points in the loss.
Cy Springs will next host Jersey Village at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.
