Local grads help UT-Dallas roll to victory
Kyle Schleigh, a 2010 graduate of Kingwood High School, and Carter Nash, a 2010 graduate of Cypress Woods High School, helped host UT-Dallas to a 73-38 men's college basketball victory Thursday night against UT-Tyler.
Schleigh, a 6-foot-6 sophomore forward for the Comets, scored 16 points to go along with two rebounds and one steal.
Nash, a 6-foot-5 sophomore forward, pulled down five rebounds to go along with two points and one steal for the winners.
Schleigh played high school basketball at Kingwood from 2006 to 2010 earning first-team all-district honors during his senior campaign (2009-2010).
He was also team captain, team co-MVP and an all-region team honoree.
Schleigh is an accounting major at UT-Dallas.
Nash played basketball at Cy-Woods from 2006 to 2010, earning first-team all-district honors during 2009-10 as a senior.
Nash is a business major.
