Six teams place at Cy-Fair wrestling tournament
Six teams took the top 10 positions at the 10th annual Cy-Fair Wrestling Tournament, held Jan. 6 and Jan. 7 at the Berry Center.
Ten area schools took part in the event, totaling more than 100 teams, 67 boys and 44 girls. Cypress Woods came out the highest at fourth place for the boys teams, and Cypress Ridge took the highest girls team ranking with sixth place.
"The tournament went well and we had a good turnout," Cypress Woods coach Michael White said in a press release. "It will be even bigger next year and were already looking forward to it.
