Cy-Fair vascular surgeon named in wrongful death suit
An estate has filed a wrongful death suit over claims a Cy-Fair vascular surgeon caused the death of a loved one.
Carol Sanders, on behalf of the estate of the deceased James E. Sanders, filed a wrongful death lawsuit on Jan. 23 in the Harris County District Court against Richard Lee, M.D., of Cy-Fair.
The plaintiff says on Jan. 12, 2011, Lee incorrectly placed a vein tunneled dialysis catheter on Mr. Sanders, and that Lee’s carelessness during this procedure caused Sanders to suffer complications and die, according to the brief.
The estate is seeking wrongful death damages and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Beaumont attorney John Werner.
