'A Lesson Before Dying' currently on stage at the Houston Family Arts Center
The Houston Family Arts Center’s production of Ernest J. Gaines' “A Lesson Before Dying” will run through Feb. 5.
Romulus Linney's stage adaptation of Gaines' novel deals with an innocent young man condemned to death in backwoods Louisiana in 1948.
Performances will be held at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays
Tickets are $12 to $16, and all performances will be held on the Garza Main Stage Theatre. The performance is recommended for ages 13 and older.
