Cy-Fair ISD to host February events at the Berry Center
Cy-Fair ISD will be hosting the following events in February:
Galveston Bay Training is open to all CFISD staff, volunteers and parents. The class will introduce TEKS-based science for fourth graders. TEKS teaches students about the bays and waterways. The class will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Feb. 7.
PIE Student Mentor Training provides the backing needed to be a role model to students. Mentors are approved by the district and meet with students each week to provide support. The training will be from 6-8 p.m. on Feb. 7.
The upcoming VIPS General meeting will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Feb. 9. The meeting is open to volunteers, parents and staff and will provide information regarding CFISD volunteering.
VIPS Sooper Puppy Training will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Feb. 15. Sooper Puppy provides age appropriate lessons for first graders and introduces life skills such as finding solutions and facing challenges.
The VIPS TAG team meeting will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Feb. 16. The meeting is intended for individuals who would like to work directly with students.
A multicultural meeting will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Feb. 23. Open to all staff, volunteers and parents, the meeting will discuss ways to increase cultural understanding and tolerance within the CFISD community.

All events will be held at the Berry Center, 8877 Barker-Cypress Road.
