Cypress Falls High School wins district Science Olympiad
The Cypress Falls High School Science Olympiad team celebrates its first-place finish in the Division C district Science Olympiad competition on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Cypress Lakes High School.
Cypress Falls High School came in first place in Division C of the district Science Olympiad on Saturday, Jan. 28.
"The Cypress Falls Science Olympiad team did an amazing job at the district contest," coach Jennifer Wuellner said in a press release. "The team has been having an outstanding season this year and hopes to continue its success at the regional level."
Two teams from each CFISD high school competed in the event. The Olympiad had 21 events that ranged from astronomy and thermodynamics to forestry and water quality. The competition was overseen by teachers, volunteers and parents.
All 10 of the CFISD schools that took part in the district competition will move on to the regional competition in April at Texas A&M University.
